Join BetaNo pre-made adapter exists that has a female iron pipe (FIP) on top and a copper stub-out on the bottom for tub spout connections; plumber is forced to either solder copper or use non-recommended PEX.
An adapter that connects a tub valve's male iron pipe (MIP) directly to a copper tub spout stub-out without soldering. It uses a brass body with a threaded FIP top and a pre-attached copper tailpiece, installed with a simple wrench. Eliminates the need for soldering and avoids flow restrictions from PEX.
